Eng. Dr. Michael M. Odongo

He's a professional Civil Engineer of 25 years standing with over 20-years of post-registration experience in design, construction and asset management of transportation infrastructure; mainly roads, bridges and geo-techniques. He holds advanced degrees in both engineering and management disciplines.

To-date he has held several senior positions of responsibility within the Public Service including being Chief Materials Engineer of Government (2007-2009) , pioneer CEO of Uganda Road Fund (2009 to date) and current Chairman Engineers' Registration Board Uganda.

An engineer, with training, experience, and interest in socio-economic development. I am an electrical engineer with extensive experience in management of engineering projects, general management of organisations and institutions, maintenance management, performance improvement programmes, institutional development, investment planning and management, multi-donor programme coordination, stakeholder management, and teaching.

Eng. Dr. Florence Lubwama Kiyimba | Member

Aregistered Agricultural Engineer employed by the National Agricultural ResearchOrganization (NARO) as a Senior Research Officer. Florence brings wealth ofexperience of over nineteen (19) years in carrying out demand driven researchin designing, fabricating, testing/evaluation and disseminating appropriatetechnologies. She has comprehensive knowledge and understanding of agriculturalprocess engineering systems for smallholder, medium and large scale farmers.She has served in various leadership roles including: Head of the AgriculturalEngineering and Appropriate Research Center; Programme Leader for theBiosystems and Agricultural Engineering Programme and Head of severalAgro-processing projects. 

Eng. Elias Bahanda | Member

He is a registeredelectrical engineer with over three decades of uninterrupted working experiencein Engineering planning, Project Management, Operations and Maintenance. He hasworked at different technical and managerial levels in thetelecommunicationssector in Uganda in addition to Project Management and Coordinationbased at the East African Community (EAC) headquarters in Arusha. Hisexperience in the   provision ofConsultancy services in EAC region is diverse including, but not limited to, Pre-feasibilitystudies for National Backbones for Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi;National Fiber Optic Backbones for Rwanda and Burundi; Assessment of the transit market in Tanzania for Malawi submarinecable Virtual Landing Point (VLP); Broadband Connectivity for EACregion and Feasibility Studies for Maritime Communication system on LakeVictoria. He is to date anICT Consulting engineer.

Eng. Ronald Namugera | Registrar

Eng. Ronald Namugera is the Registrar of the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) effective 1st February 2016. He is a Registered Civil Engineer with experience in roads, bridges and geotechnical engineering fields. He has also acquired experience in public road infrastructure Services Procurement, road maintenance management and Financing.

Direct Applicants
All candidates who attained 'Member' of UIPE before the commencement of the UIPE/ERB Joint Assessment Committee (JAC) are required to submit a Technical Report and Career Report plus attending a Board Interview. In addition they apply for registration by filling ERB Form ERA 1, and attaching copies of certificates for the Board's processing of the documentation.
