Eng. Ronald Namugera | Registrar

Eng. Ronald Namugera is the Registrar of the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) effective 1st February 2016. He is a Registered Civil Engineer with experience in roads, bridges and geotechnical engineering fields. He has also acquired experience in public road infrastructure Services Procurement, road maintenance management and Financing.

He is a member of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT) UK, Member of Uganda Institutional of Professional Engineers (UIPE) and possesses advanced degrees in both engineering and management disciplines.

He has served as a Chairman of UIPE - Kampala Branch 2014, Chairman Membership Education and Training (MET) - UIPE 2015 and UIPE Council Member. He has served at senior Engineer level in Ministry of Works and Transport and is currently the Manager Policy and Strategy of Uganda Road Fund.

All candidates who attained 'Member' of UIPE before the commencement of the UIPE/ERB Joint Assessment Committee (JAC) are required to submit a Technical Report and Career Report plus attending a Board Interview. In addition they apply for registration by filling ERB Form ERA 1, and attaching copies of certificates for the Board's processing of the documentation.
